# Lifecycle

> Create, wait, reuse, or revoke a result.

## Stages

| Stage | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Start | Hosted, SDK, or API |
| Accepted | Request in flight |
| Processing | Async check |
| Complete | Proof ID ready |
| Reused | Checks / gates / MCP |
| Stale / revoked | Policy or user revoke |

## Strategies

| Strategy | Use |
| - | - |
| `reuse-or-create` | Default. Reuse if valid |
| `reuse` | Read-only checks |
| `fresh` | Force a new result |

## Freshness

* Point-in-time checks (balance, risk): respect recency.
* Prefer cheap checks + `since` / `sinceDays`. Run a new check only when policy needs it.

## Revoke (owner)

```http theme={"dark"}
POST /api/v1/proofs/revoke-self/{qHash}
```

```javascript theme={"dark"}
await client.revokeOwnProof(qHash, wallet);
```
